DWeb Coworking/Feb 4th Email Followup

Email sent out late Feb 4th to all attendees of Jan 25th coworking and/or tech social

Hello everyone!

This is a belated follow up to our first afternoon coworking and evening tech social. Thanks everyone that came!

The January 25th, 2024 Coworking has some notes mostly from Boris. Ideally, we'll get in a habit of adding to the notes for each session, and then sending out an email to everyone so we can share links and work together on things.

The big thing we're looking for right now is a Call for Venues!

• Novus needs space on Saturdays for ~3 hours for ~30 people (although I've heard they're growing!)
• Weston from VanRuby has a request for venue, after work weekdays, 40 - 60 people VanRuby/Request For Meetup Venue

There is a morning coworking session tomorrow, Monday, Feb 5th, from 10am - 1pm.

Next afternoon coworking and evening tech social is February 15th. Any feedback about the coworking or the social? Feel free to reply by email, or drop by the Signal group. Felt like things got a little loud and crowded upstairs -- we'll have the main space downstairs all for us next time and will have clusters of tables and chairs. Carl from Van-Techies has offered to do a little discussion facilitation for the next social.

Other upcoming events this week:

• DWeb Core is doing a virtual session Wednesday afternoon, Feb 7th. They're calling for presenters for these which would be good for demos to an international audience
• Novus is trying something new, a French-salon like discussion around incentivizing innovation in cities, and I think Ian's Smart Young BC topics. This Thursday, Feb 8th
