Katie Hong
Katie Hong recently (March 2024) restarted her journey into Vancouver's Tech Scene looking for a place to belong, play/build, learn, and grow with others. She has a fascination with how communities of interest band together to develop ways to share their common interests. In 2021 she discovered personal knowledge management (PKM) community and has since been working towards a system that supports a freer and happier way of living.
She is still very early in her tech independence but the writings of Derek Sievers, those at DWeb, various wanderings through the internet, and her innate nature is leading her towards that direction in life.
*Note: At her first Vancouver Hack Day, her mind was blown by Peter Van Garderen who revealed to her the world of Archivists - which are very much related to PKM. Excitement ensues.
