A Few Takeaways from 2024 Attendees

The LOCALHOST Retrospective garden dinner took place after DWebCamp 2024, and several of the organizers and attendees were there.

A few twinkling highlights from that conversation are:

  • DWeb is more than 'just tech' - it's a symphony of art, music, science, food, culture and technology.
  • It has a vibe of "using technology to human better", in the words of David Luecke.
  • The event had 17 session tracks, with 400 sessions. The "Joy of Missing Out" value is no joke, attendees must be happy with where they are, knowing they can't be everywhere at once.
  • Could DWebCamp take place in BC? There's energy and interest in moving it away from California and reaching different crowds.
